Taurus Asia Production, together with the film company Karga Seven Pictures, has begun filming the series 'The Golden Empire'.

'The Golden Empire' is a series about Jochi Khan. Part of the production is taking place at the Kazakhfilm studio. Director Emre Şahin and the film crew are recreating the era of one of the greatest empires of the Middle Ages.

The story centers on Jochi Khan and his historical role. The script was developed by an international team under the supervision of Kazakh historians.

It involved writers of 'Vikings' and 'Outlaw King', as well as global experts who ensured historical accuracy.

Casting covered countries such as the USA, UK, Belgium, Sweden, and Mongolia.

Key roles — including Jochi Khan, Genghis Khan, Chagatai, Ögedei, and Batu — will be played by Kazakhstani actors.
Authentic costumes are being created by top designers, battle scenes are staged by Nomad Stunts,
and visual effects are handled by studios that have worked with Walt Disney, Pixar, DreamWorks, Universal, and Sony Pictures.

The project is supported by the Presidential Initiatives Fund 'Dara' and is expected to become a major cultural event.
The English-language docudrama series is produced by Karga Seven Pictures — known for 'Rise of the Ottoman Empire'
and 'Testament: The Story of Moses' (both featured in Netflix's Top 10 in over 90 countries).

TAURUS Asia Production serves as the local partner, responsible for organizing production on the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
